Frequently Asked Questions

How long are the parties?
A typical event lasts approximately three hours, not including roughly 1 hour of prep that our chef will do at the party location before the guests arrive and clean-up afterward.

What does the party pricing include?
All ingredients, equipment, know how, and clean-up. You supply the space, the guests, the drinks and the tableware, and we'll handle all the rest - including aprons.

Travel to locations outside of the Tri-Cities is an additional $60.

What if my kitchen is too small?
As long as you we can set a cutting board down for each student (in the kitchen or even on the dining room table), you can comfortably host a cooking party in your home.

How far in advance do I need to book my party?
The earlier, the better...but no later than one week prior to your party.

Is a deposit required to book an event?
Yes, a $100 deposit is required.  The balance can be paid at time of party with a check to the chef or through this site prior to party date.

What is your cancellation policy?
Deposits are fully refundable for cancellations made more than four weeks prior to the event date. Cancellations made less than 4 weeks prior to the event date will result in a 50% return of deposit. Deposits for events booked four weeks or less prior to the event date are non-refundable.

When is the balance due?
The balance is due on the party date or can be made through this site prior to party date.

What do I need to provide or have on hand at the event?
Your chef brings all food, equipment and gear to prepare your meal. You supply the kitchen (including some fridge space, clean and clear counter space, and a working oven), dinnerware, and any drinks. We recommend setting the table, but leaving the dishes in the kitchen for your chef to plate your food; you will need one plate per person per course.

What if I can't cook?
Don't worry.  You can help as much or as little as you like...that is why your chef is there!!  But if you'd really like to learn more about cooking, consider our one-on-one cooking classes.

How many people can I invite?
We've found that most private kitchens can accommodate groups up to 12 people, so we've designed our in-home events to allow for a maximum of 12 guests.

Do I have to choose a menu now?
Nope. Once we recieve your booking date, we will contact you to discuss the details of the menu. We will make sure there are extra foods you love and none of those you loathe. We can also easily accommodate your vegetarian friends or friends with food allergies.
